The King Alfred multipurpose sports arena concept with world class facilities would include a 50 metre competition pool, diving boards and family fun pool area. There will also be a full size ice rink which will be able to convert to a basketball court and gymnastics show area with numerous other flexible sporting uses, plus a stage for concerts etc.

This is currently the site of the King Alfred Leisure Centre in Hove.

A solution to the city’s lack of facilities is an all in one arena that could become home to the Brighton Tigers, Brighton Bears not forgetting Shiverers Swimming Club and Cheetahs Gym.

It has the potential to become a top national venue and destination for championships, competitions and shows.
